BIOL* 2050 - Biology of Aging & Human DevelopmentThis course provides an overview of cellular, physiological, anatomical, and nutritional aspects of aging, which includes current theories of aging Changes seen with aging for each body system are covered and the distinction of normal versus abnormal aging is made. The interrelationships between biological aging and the psychological, social, and economic factors of aging are discussed. Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisites: Complete BIOL*1010-General Biology I or ZOO*1200-Human Biology. Credits: (3.00 cr.) Lecture/Lab Hours (3 lect hrs/week) |
