DHYG* 3100 - Dental Health Education
The semester will be spent studying methods for preventing oral disease including nutritional and dietary counseling and dealing with patient education and behavior modification techniques. Reading assignments, class discussion, role playing, oral physiotherapy aid presentation and a patient education project will prepare students to apply preventive dentistry concepts in clinical dental hygiene courses and community dental health.
Prerequisites/Corequisites
Corequisite courses: DHYG*2470-Orientation to Dental Hygiene.
