CSCO 2020 - Cisco: CCNA 2 This course introduces the student to the Linux operating system. The student will acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to negotiate a Linux based computer system by performing a variety of administrative tasks and functions inherent in any Linux-based operating system. This course will cover all the necessary material to enable the student to take a TestOut Linux Pro and a CompTIA Linux + Certification Exam.

Minimum Student Competencies Upon completion of COSC 2020 Linux Fundamentals, the student will:
- Use the Linux shell command line interface (CLI).
- Construct shell configuration scripts.
- Navigate directory and file systems.
- Design a Linux installation.
- Understand Linux boot process.
- Understand system service commands function.
- Understand Linux shutdown process.
- Manage user interface and desktop configuration.
- Understand software installation tools and shared libraries.
- Manage user accounts and groups.
- Manage disk and file systems.
- Manage hardware devices and drivers.
- Manage system processes, printers and print jobs.
- Configure task scheduling and system time.
- Use the Mail Transfer Agent (MTA).
- Understand system monitoring tools.
- Understand IPV4 and IPV6 protocols and network configuration.
- Implement system security safeguards and practices.
