MSFT 1530 - Managing a Microsoft Windows Environment


This course provides students with the skills necessary to administer and manage Windows Server operating system. This course will cover all the necessary material to enable the student to take a Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Certification Exam.

Prerequisites:
Successful completion of MSFT 1520 Windows Server Networking

Minimum Student Competencies
Upon completion of MSFT 1530 Managing a Microsoft Windows Environment, the student will:

  1. Manage server images.
  2. Implement patch management.
  3. Monitor servers.
  4. Configure distributed File System (DFS).
  5. Configure file and disk encryption.
  6. Configure advanced audit policies.
  7. Configure DNS zones.
  8. Configure DNS records.
  9. Configure virtual private network (VPN) and routing.
  10. Configure DirectAccess.
  11. Configure Network Policy Server.
  12. Upon completion of MSFT 1530 Managing a Microsoft Windows Environment, the student will:
  13. Manage server images.
