Agricultural Business A.S.

The Agricultural Business Programs prepare the student for a number of exciting career and educational opportunities. Our students can focus their individual courses of study to meet their own personal goals. By simply emphasizing specific areas, the students choices include: Agricultural Business, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Sales, Farm and Ranch Management, Agricultural Communications, and Agricultural Education. We offer Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, and Associate of Applied Science degrees in the program. It is important to note that the majority of our students continue on to four-year colleges and universities and we work closely with these schools to aid our transfers.

Agricultural Business majors are found in a variety of business ventures including both the private and public sectors. From the marketing of agricultural commodities, running family operations, agricultural lending, food processing, sales, managerial positions, and agricultural education our students have a wealth of career paths available. Many government agencies rely on Ag Business majors to aid in the planning and management of our natural resources. These include the Department of Agriculture, the Bureau of Land Management and the Forest Service.

Sheridan College Ag Business majors study in the new Watt Regional Ag Center and enjoy small class sizes with competent, caring instructors. This is important to many students from smaller rural schools. We are proud of the fact that our transfer students consistently exhibit higher GPA’s than their peers who began their college careers elsewhere. If a quality education in a state of the art facility at an affordable price is what you are seeking, please contact any of the Sheridan College Ag faculty for more information.
