Biotechnology Certificate

Biotechnology is a broad area of science involving many different disciplines designed to use living organisms or their products to solve problems and perform valuable industrial, manufacturing, and environmental processes.  The Certificate in Biotechnology is a 4 semester, 21 credit certificate program that will prepare students to work as biotechnology technicians in a myriad of laboratory environments.  The program will also prepare students to successfully pursue higher degrees in science and technology.

The program emphasizes hands-on experience and will develop skills in DNA manipulation and analysis, recombinant protein production, bioinformatics, cell culture, and computer skills.
