General Studies AA

The General Studies Associate of Art Program is designed for students who wish to gain basic knowledge and explore curriculum choices.  This program includes 30 credits of General Education requirements, a foreign language, plus 22 credits of general electives.  A major in General Studies allows you to choose classes from a variety of subjects and explore different areas of study.

General Studies Program Outcomes

  1. Communicate effectivety in multiple areas using appropriate medium.
  2. Apply mathematical techniques to real-world and theoretical problems.
  3. Differentiate among diverse human systems.
  4. Explain the impact of the arts and philosophy on the human condition.
  5. Apply the basic scientific method to real-world and theoretical problems.
  6. Analyze lifestyle components of personal wellness.
  7. Categorize geographical and cultural elements that produce a particular human culture.
