Culinary Arts AAS

The Culinary Arts AAS Program is designed to prepare students to become certified, successful culinarians.  Operating from the Wyoming Culinary Institute in Sheridan, the program provides a comprehensive, hands-on approach to training the modern-day culinarian.  Students receive instruction in a variety of cuisines in addition to foundational practices for efficient operation of the kitchen.

Culinary Arts AAS Program Outcomes:

  • Demonstrate proper kitchen equipment operation and maintenance skills
  • Evaluate production techniques as outlined by the American Culinary Federation
  • Evaluate costing methods for maximum profitability
  • Create a menu with the appropriate aesthetic plate presentation
  • Prepare menu items in a restaurant industry setting
  • Perform decision making and leadership skills to function effectively in the hospitality industry
