Psychology AA

The Psychology AA program is designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year institution and pursue advanced studies in a specialized area of the psychological sciences.  This program introduces students to theories of psychology, explores related fields, and prepares students for advanced study.

Program Outcomes:
  1. Apply basic research methods in psychology, including research design, data analysis, and interpretation.

  2. Analyze sociocultural and international diversity.

  3. Examine the applicability of psychological principles and empirical findings to personal, social, and organizational issues.

  4. Summarize the major concepts, theoretical perspectives, and historical trends in psychology.

  5. Assess behavior and mental processes.

This program may be offered online

Required Course of Study: 

Freshman Year


Fall Semester - 16-17 credits


Sophomore Year


Fall Semester - 15 credits


Total Credit Hours: 61-62


Program Electives:


Electives may come from the PSYC, SOC, ANTH, CNSL, ADDN or CNSL departments.  Six credit hours of ANTH, SOC or CRMJ courses are recommended for transfer to the University of Wyoming.
