Agriculture AAS, Animal Science Option

This program provides the flexibility for Agriculture AAS degree bound student to focus on one of the three major agriculture disciplines offered at Sheridan College while selecting from a wide variety of agriculture support courses with the assistance of their faculty advisor.  This is an ideal track for those wishing to explore a number of different agricultural-related areas or those wishing to acquire specific and unique skills and knowledge in agriculture.

Required Course of Study for an AAS Degree

Freshman Year


Fall Semester - Total Credit Hours: 16


Spring Semester - Total Credit Hours: 16


Sophomore Year


Fall Semester - Total Credit Hours: 16


Spring Semester - Total Credit Hours: 16


Total Degree Credit Hours: 64


Program Electives


Animal Science Option:  19 credit hours of Animal Science courses (ANSC) + 25 credit hours of FCSC, FDSC, AGEC, AECL, REWM, CROP courses.

**The student must also collaborate with their faculty advisor to complete and maintain the Program of Study Planning form that identifies a semester by semester sequence of courses that will lead to the AAS degree.
