Mathematics AA

The Mathematics AA program provides a strong foundation for advanced math studies, giving math majors the basis they need to transfer to a four-year degree program.  Students have the option of studying only mathematics, combining mathematics with engineering or computer science, or preparing for a teaching career in mathematics.  The AA degree also includes a foreign language as required by many Baccalaureate degree programs.

Mathematics Program Outcomes

• Apply appropriate mathematical techniques to real-world and theoretical problems.
• Analyze data using appropriate mathematical methods.
• Incorporate technology into mathematical applications.
• Evaluate situations to make logical inferences and conclusions.
• Express mathematical ideas precisely both verbally and in writing.
