Associate of Applied Science Degree Requirements


 

The Associate of Applied Science degree at NWCCD is designed to lead students directly to employment in a specific career. The degree also allows the opportunity for further academic study. Where appropriate, the Associate of Applied Science programs are designed to lead directly to certification and/or licensure.

Credit Requirements for Associate of Applied Science Degree

General Institutional Requirements:

  1. Complete a minimum of 64 credit hours at 1000 level and above.
  2. Complete a minimum of 15 credit hours of Sheridan College credit.
  3. Have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 (“C”) or better in classes 1000 level or above.

The following courses will satisfy the various categories of general education requirements listed above.

The same course may not be used to satisfy two General Education requirements.

Writing Requirement


All writing requirements must be completed with a grade of “C” or better.

Math Requirement


Math requirement must be completed with a grade of “C” or better.

If a program of study does not specify a math requirement, the math requirement may be fulfilled by taking of the courses listed below or by passing the Math Placement Assessment with an Algebra score of 66-100 or College Algebra score of 0-64.
