THEA 1700 - Voice for the Actor

This course introduces students to voice work. It emphasizes breath freedom, flexibility and support for the actor. Current methodologies will be addressed.

Minimum Student Competencies
Upon completion of THEA 1700 Voice for the Actor, the student will:

Acquire a way to produce sound for speaking on stage.
Demonstrate freeing the voice.
Articulate sounds.
Manage speak in voice with support.
Critique plays and theatrical productions.
