MATH 2350 - Business Calculus I
This course covers topics including plane analytic geometry, differentiation, applications of the derivative, differential equations, limits, and the basic integrals and their applications.

Prerequisites:
MATH 1400 Pre-Calculus Algebra with a grade of “C” or better
Minimum Student Competencies
Upon completion of MATH 2350 Business Calculus I, the student will:
- Evaluate limits using a variety of techniques.
- Evaluate derivatives using limits.
- Evaluate derivatives using differentiation rules.
- Solve derivative problems containing related rates.
- Solve derivative problems containing optimization and other business applications.
- Solve indefinite integral problems involving business applications.
- Solve definite integral problems involving business applications.
- Solve integrals to find the area under a curve.
- Contrast minimum and maximum values for discrete valued problems.
- Interpret calculus concepts in terms of business applications.
- Use the derivative to evaluate and solve marginal and marginal average cost, revenue, and profit problems.
- Use the derivative to solve elasticity of demand problems
- Apply L’Hopitals rule to evaluate limits of quotients.
