MUSC 2465 - Directed Studies in Music: This course allows students to investigate a selected topic in music under the supervision of a faculty member.
Credits: 1-3
Prerequisites: Instructor consent
Minimum Student Competencies Upon completion of MUSC 2465 Directed Studies in Music, the student will:
- 1. Demonstrate understanding of the theoretical concepts studied.
- Apply analytical techniques appropriate for the level of study (if applicable).
- Explain content of musical works studied with regard to style, technical aspects and aesthetics (if applicable).
- Demonstrate technical competency in the method studied (if applicable).
Program Outcomes Upon completion of MUSC 2465 Directed Studies in Music, the student will:
- Summarize musical styles, genres, and major composers from different cultures and historical periods (topic dependent).
- Analyze notated and aural music examples (topic dependent).
