PEAC 1041 - Personal Defense: This course is designed to give students an opportunity to enhance their personal wellness through the participation in moderate to vigorous physical activity. Throughout the semester, students study self-defense through one martial arts style and develop flexibility, balance, and core strength. Activities related to this course vary from semester to semester.

Minimum Student Competencies Upon completion of PEAC 1041 Personal Defense, the student will:
- Assess the role of exercise in health related fitness.
- Improve and/or enhance specific health-related fitness components.
- Utilize and demonstrate the basic self-defense skills for the martial art studied.
- Perform techniques in the specified style.
