PSYC 2000 - Research Methods in Psychology
This course introduces the student to the methods of investigating psychological questions and interpreting statistics commonly found in psychology. The student will become familiar with a variety of research strategies including observation, experimentation, survey and correlation.

Minimum Student Competencies
Upon completion of PSYC 2000 Research Methods in Psychology, the student will:
- Investigate psychological questions.
- Interpret statistics in psychology.
- Produce writing including discipline-based as well as interdisciplinary.
- Demonstrate familiarity with the various research designs, including experimentation, observation, survey, and correlations.
- Analyze information using scientific research.
- Employ a variety of research strategies.
- Modify writing using multiple strategies.
- Conduct original psychological research.
- Demonstrate the ability to write in the American Psychological Association format.
