TECH 1500 - Exploring Technology I This is an exploratory course designed to expose students to a variety of career opportunities in technology fields. The course covers the nature of the work, the type and amount of education needed, and both current and projected occupational opportunities in Career and Technical Education. Students will work with the instructor to design and complete projects that will expose them to many of the CTE industries.
Credits: 3
Minimum Student Competencies Upon completion of TECH 1500 Exploring Technology I, the student will:
- Practice key safety rules related to each field of study.
- Outline the basic tenets in each field of technology explored.
- Identify career opportunities available in each of the fields of study.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of primary equipment needed in each field of study.
- Assess how the fields of study correlate to personal career goals.
- Determine other fields of study of interest
