MUSC 2055 - History of Western Music II This course examines the music and aesthetics of Western art music from the Classical through the Contemporary eras. Major composers and their works are put into historical context. Critical listening, thinking and analytical skills are developed. The skills practiced and learned provide students with the fundamental knowledge of music history required for further study in the discipline. Prerequisites: Completion of English 1010 or enrollment in English 1010 or instructor consent; the ability to read music notation Minimum Credits: 3 General Education Cultural Studies-Visual & Performing Arts Grading: Letter
