EDEC 2200 - Early Childhood Practicum This course provides students with a capstone field experience in a program serving children birth to third grade. Emphasis is placed on integrating theoretical concepts into practice and developing skills and experiences as reflective and deliberate decision makers. Students will complete the professional portfolio for use in employment and future study. Field hours will be required Prerequisites: Complete the following courses with a C or better in: EDEC 1020 Intro to Early Childhood, EDEC 1100/1105 Observation and Guidance of Young Children, EDEC 2000 Engaging Families in Early Childhood Settings, and EDEC 1300/1305 Young Child Curriculum, Planning and Development Co-requisites: EDEC 1200 Administration in Early Childhood Programs Minimum Credits: 3 Grading: Letter
