FIN 2100 - Principles of Finance This course is designed to provide the students with a basic knowledge of finance. It provides the principles and tools needed to make important decisions in finance, namely capital budgeting and financing decisions. The major topics include time value of money, risk and return, stock and bond valuation, investment decision criteria, capital budgeting, and cost of capital. This class provides a broad overview of the field of finance. Prerequisites: ACCT 2010 Principle of Accounting I or ACCT 2020 Principles of Accounting II and STAT 2050 Fund of Statistics or STAT 2070 Intro to Statistics. Minimum Credits: 3 Grading: Letter
