NRST 1615 - Nursing Theory I

First semester nursing students are introduced to the concepts of caring, competence, clinical judgment, coordination and comitment.  Students learn basic nursing care and communication skills. Emphasis is placed on knowledge of caring interventions for individual clients in structured health care settings.

Prerequisites:
Admission to the Nursing program required.

Credits: 5

Lecture/Lab Hours: 3 lecture, 6 lab hrs/week
