PEPR 1035 - Foundations of Exercise Science This course provides students with an overview of the field of exercise science. Exercise science encompasses a variety of sub-disciplines, each aimed at integrating the unique demands of movement and the basic science associated with the sub-discipline. Students explore the topics of exercise physiology, sports nutrition, health, biomechanics, sports psychology, and motor/neural control of movement.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of or concurrent enrollment in, both ENGL 1010 - English I and a course satisfying the Basic Math General Education requirement for the AS degree with a “C” or better.
Credits: 2
Lecture/Lab Hours: 2 lecture hrs/week
