SOC 1000 - Sociological Principles This introductory course provides both a survey of the discipline and a foundation for other sociology courses. Major areas of interest, ranging from small groups and families to bureaucracies and movements, are explored. Significant concepts and theories are introduced, along with the tools of social research. Though much attention is given to contemporary American society, comparative and historical materials are included.
