The Agricultural Science Programs prepare the student for a variety of careers and further education. The degree options offered at Sheridan College include: Agroecology, Animal Science, Range Management, Horticulture, Meat and Food Science, and Aquaculture. We offer Associate of Arts, Associate of Science and Associate of Applied Science degrees here at Sheridan College. It is important to note that the majority of our students continue on to four-year colleges and universities and that we work closely with these schools to make the transfer process as seamless as possible.

Ag Science majors can tailor their course of study to match their own interests and goals. Whether the student is seeking a career spent outdoors, indoors or some combination of the two, a degree from Sheridan is a great first step. Graduates in the Ag Sciences are sought by both the private and public sectors. The science of producing food and fiber, managing natural resources, and researching new and innovative ways to improve our environment lead to a tremendous demand from business’s nation wide.

Sheridan College Ag Science majors study in the new Watt Regional Ag Center. Our students have access to state of the art labs, meat processing facilities, a fully computerized greenhouse, irrigated and dry-land labs, warm and cold water aquaculture systems and the 4,800 acre Purdy Ranch. Additionally, our students benefit from small class sizes and instructors that truly care about their success. We are proud of the fact that our transfer students consistently exhibit higher GPA’s than their peers who began their college careers elsewhere. If a quality education at an affordable price in a state of the art facility is what you are seeking, please contact any of the Sheridan College Ag. faculty for more information.
