Keeping up with the business opportunities taking place on the Internet requires a sharp eye for trends and design, and the adaptability and desire to work with new technology as it becomes available. If you enjoy the challenges of web design and/or online business and marketing, Sheridan College’s Computer Web Design and Internet Business programs will give you the cutting edge skills you need to succeed.
The award winning staff of the Computer Web Design and Internet Business program contributes to the strength of the Sheridan College program. Their areas of expertise include programming, networking, business, web design, and other technology applications. Classes cover state-of-the-art theory and applications for Computer Web Design and Internet Business and yet are small enough that students can work closely with their instructors.
The student chooses either the Business or Web Technology track to follow. Core courses in computer science, Internet technologies, and web-based information systems place emphasis on utilizing specific information technology skills that are applicable to the web technology side of the Internet business setting. A strong business track benefits the student who wants to either run a business on the web or work for a business on the web, but does not want to go deep into the technology.
Additionally, there is a strong general education component integrated into the program to satisfy demands for appropriate work force skills identified by the business sector.
