Drafting A.A.S.

Return to: Divisions & Departments
The creation of buildings, airplanes, industrial machines and even furniture all begins in the capable hands of a drafter. Drafters create intricate, detailed technical drawings using information given to them by engineers, scientists or land surveyors to show the dimensions of an object, the materials it will be built with and how it will be built. Once each series of drawings is complete, they are used by production and construction workers to bring the drawing to life.
At NWCCD: Sheridan College and Gillette College students work on the latest computer drafting programs and with our very experienced instructors to hone their drafting skills and prepare themselves for a position in today’s drafting market.
At NWCCD: Sheridan College and Gillette College, students can earn an certificate of completion in drafting. The program is designed to give students an introductory background in drafting.
