Astronomy, chemistry, biology, geology - there’re what seems to be hundreds of areas of scientific study that college students can pursue as a major.

Right now you’re in no rush to choose which scientific avenue you find most appealing.

Sheridan College and Gillette College’s General Science studies is perfect for the future scientist who hasn’t yet pinned down their favorite area in the field.

Many science curricula require one or two courses in several science disciplines so the student can be declared a science major. The overall objective of the General Science program of study is to provide students with the basic knowledge and laboratory skills they will need in upper-level specialty courses.

The undecided student has the opportunity to obtain a degree and still fulfill some course requirements outside a particular specialty discipline.

Upon completion of the program, students will be eligible to transfer to a University as a Junior.
