The Associate of Fine Arts degree at Sheridan College for music and the visual arts is designed to prepare students in these disciplines for transfer into an upper division Bachelor of Fine Arts degree program or a Bachelor of Arts degree program. The general degree requirements necessitate coursework in many different areas to enable students to understand and appreciate his/her culture and environment. Students completing the Associate of Fine Arts should be accepted as junior level transfers at baccalaureate degree-granting institutions.
Credit Requirements for Associate of Fine Arts Degree
General Institutional Requirements:
- Complete a minimum of 60 credit hours at 1000 level and above.
- Complete a minimum of 15 credit hours of Sheridan College credit.
- Have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 (“C”) or better in classes 1000 level or above.
