The Associate of Science in Animal Science is an agricultural degree that allows students to gain knowledge and experience in this multi-disciplinary field. Students build upon a foundation of science with hands-on, practical animal science courses in their area of interest.
Animal Science Program Outcomes:
- Design solutions to real-world agricultural issues using the scientific method
- Analyze how governmental regulations apply to animal science
- Assess feed nutrients and how they are necessary for the health, growth and development of livestock.
- Evaluate various types of livestock and their nutritional and economic contributions nationally and globally.
A “C” or better in all required program courses & the following general education courses – math, science, basic and advanced writing.
