Administrative Assistant Certificate

The Administrative Assistant Certificate prepares students for immediate employment in many areas of work.  Administrative Assistants are responsible for a variety of administrative duties that allow an organization to run efficiently, which may include The Administrative Assistant Certificate of Completion prepares students for immediate employment in many areas of work and can be completed in less than one year.  Administrative Assistants are responsible for a variety of administrative duties that allow an organization to run efficiently.  They are often responsible for coordinating meetings, organizing paper and electronic files, answering phones, assisting customers, and handling aspects of a company’s budget.

Program Outcomes:
  1. Demonstrate professional business behavior, appearance, and ethics.
  2. Develop appropriate human relations and interpersonal communication skills in business situations.

  3. Demonstrate written, verbal, and nonverbal communication skills using rules of grammar.

  4. Solve business problems using business math and accounting procedures.

  5. Integrate the use of business software programs, electronic communication, and Internet resources.

  6. Employ routine office skills, such as teamwork, record management, reprographics, and customer service.
