The NWCCD Nursing Program is an intense, 2-year course of study.  This program allows students to complete an Associate Degree in Nursing, gain RN licensure and employment, and transition seamlessly to the University of Wyoming for their senior year completion of a bachelor’s degree. The curriculum is part of the statewide nursing curriculum known as Revolutionizing Nursing Education in Wyoming (ReNEW).  ReNEW is designed as a baccalaureate curriculum with an ADN benchmark, allowing students to sit for the NCLEX-RN (licensure exam) at the completion of the fourth semester.

Program Outcomes:

• Provide safe nursing care within the healthcare system.

• Incorporate prior knowledge, current research, and clinical experience in decision-making.

• Demonstrate leadership skills as part of an inter-professional team to promote desired outcomes.

• Use effective communication and advocacy to provide individualized care.

• Practice within the core values, principles, and standards of the nursing profession.

• Utilize the nursing process and a broad knowledge base to maximize health.

All courses for the Nursing ADN program must be completed with a grade of “C” or higher.
