HVAC Apprenticeship Certificate

The HVAC Apprenticeship Certificate provides educational components for the Sheridan area state-approved HVAC Apprenticeship that complements the 2000-hour-per-year, working component needed to meet the yearly requirements set by the Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training, Wyoming Department of Labor, for apprentices to become eligible to sit for the journeyman’s exam.

Program Outcomes:
  1. Complete coursework necessary to qualify for state journeyman licensing requirement

  2. Apply communications skills in an industry setting

  3. Develop job skills required of journeyman HVAC technicians

  4. Integrate information from residential and commercial blueprints to solve HVAC problems

  5. Perform mathematics as applicable to HVAC operations

  6. Apply industry safety skills

Required Course of Study


Fall Semester, 1st Year: 6 credits


Fall Semester, 2nd Year: 6 credits


Fall Semester, 3rd Year: 6 credits


Fall Semester, 4th Year: 6 credits


Total Program Credits: 24


Students complete their required work hours in the alternate semesters.
