The Associate of Science in Computer Science (CS) program combines practical experience with current programming languages, together with a theoretical background in computer science. The program covers instruction in the principles of computational science, computing theory, and programming. Students are provided a foundation to then complete their baccalaureate degree at a four-year institution in the many specialized concentrations of computer science.

Program Outcomes:
  1. Apply programming and scripting knowledge to solve basic problems in a business environment.

  2. Use markup languages to present information in web pages.

  3. Use scripting languages to build interactive components on a web page.

  4. Ability to use both procedural and object-oriented coding techniques.

  5. Understand e-commerce concepts used in modern day websites.

  6. Understand the ways an information system affects an organization’s competitive advantage
