Agriculture AAS

This program exposes students to classes from a variety of agricultural fields. It also provides the flexibility for Agriculture AAS degree bound students to select courses, with assistance of their faculty advisor, that are most relevant to their future career plans. This is an ideal degree track for those wishing to explore a number of different agricultural-related areas or those wishing to acquire specific and unique skills and knowledge in agriculture. In addition, student with a specific interest in plant sciences or horticulture can select the plant sciences track to prepare them for a career in this field.

A “C” or better in all required program courses & the following general education courses – math, science, basic and advanced writing.

Program Outcomes:
  1. Apply the scientific method to real-world problems in agriculture.

  2. Develop a global perspective on the agricultural industry.

  3. Communicate effectively in the realm of agriculture.

  4. Compare marketing channels for agricultural products.
