Massage Therapy Certificate

The Massage Therapy Program (MT) curriculum develops knowledge and skills necessary for practicing massage therapy. Core courses emphasize Massage Therapy principles (pathology, client histories and indications/contraindications, ergonomics, and kinesiology), therapist-client ethical standards, and relaxation techniques. Massage Therapy techniques along with draping, hygiene practices and preparing the massage environment are also covered. Clinical experience is provided.
Program Outcomes:
- Identify contraindictions to MT
- Integrate protocols of a given modality as needed during treatment.
- Demonstrate effective use of techniques of a modality in the clinical setting
- Design a comprehensive business plan.
- Assess workforce readiness through self-appraisal.
- Correlate Body Structure and Function to maintain health.
