The Sheridan College Hospitality and Tourism Management AAS program builds on basic skills developed in the certificate programs, preparing students for supervisory and management positions in hospitality and tourism industries. In addition to overseeing daily functions, hospitality/tourism managers are involved in purchasing, finance, human resources, event planning, marketing, and operations. *Students interested in the Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Management and Leadership should be advised to take MATH 1000 Problem Solving or higher, advanced writing (AW), or ECON/AGEC 1010 Macroeconomics or ECON/AGEC 1020 Microeconomics as general education options. (If a student is considering transfer to university or college for advanced studies, MATH 1500 is a career technical course, and is not transferrable).
