Massage Therapy Certificate

The Massage Therapy Program (MT) curriculum develops knowledge and skills necessary for practicing massage therapy. Core courses emphasize Massage Therapy principles (pathology, client histories, indications/contraindications, ergonomics, and kinesiology), therapist-client ethical standards, and relaxation techniques. Massage Therapy techniques along with draping, hygiene practices, and preparing the massage environment are also covered. Clinical experience is provided.  

Program Outcomes:

  1. Identify contraindications to MT  

  2. Integrate protocols of a given modality as needed during treatment.  

  3. Demonstrate effective use of techniques of a modality in the clinical setting  

  4. Design a comprehensive business plan.  

  5. Assess workforce readiness through self-appraisal.  

  6. Correlate Body Structure and Function to maintain health.
