Business AAS

The Business AAS prepares students with the essential skills, work habits, and knowledge they need to pursue employment in the field of business. The program exposes students to key subject areas of business to develop skills in accounting, management, business behavior and ethics, management, and project management. 

Program Outcomes:

  1. Examine financial statements and operating results to make informed business decisions.

  2. Examine the management functions of planning, organizing, leading, and controlling and how they relate to business operations.

  3. Analyze the ways an information system affects an organization’s competitive advantage.

  4. Describe basic ethical practices in business.

  5. Analyze the basic features of domestic and international economic systems.

  6. Communicate using written, oral, and visual communications skills.

This program may be offered online.

*Students interested in the Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Management and Leadership should be advised to take MATH 1000 Problem Solving or higher, advanced writing (AW), or ECON/AGEC 1010 Macroeconomics or ECON/AGEC 1020 Microeconomics as general education options. (If a student is considering transfer to university or college for advanced studies, MATH 1500 is a career technical course, and is not transferrable).
