The Mathematics AS program provides a strong foundation for advanced math studies, giving math majors the basis they need to transfer to a four-year degree program. Students have the option of studying only mathematics, combining mathematics with engineering or computer science, or preparing for a teaching career in mathematics.

The following high school courses are recommended for students who plan to finish a bachelor’s degree in a science field in four years: - Four years of math including at least up to Trigonometry and Algebra II with Elementary Functions or Calculus encouraged.
