The Psychology Program is designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year institution and pursue advanced studies in a specialized area of the psychological sciences. This program will introduce students to theories of psychology, explore related fields, and prepare the student for advanced study.
Psychology Program Outcomes:
- Apply basic research methods in psychology, including research design, data analysis, and interpretation
- Analyze sociocultural and international diversity
- Examine the applicability of psychological principles and empirical findings to personal, social, and organizational issues
- Summarize the major concepts, theoretical perspectives, and historical trends in psychology
- Assess behavior and mental processes

Program Electives: - Students should choose either six credit hours of SOC courses or six credit hours of ANTH courses.
