The Construction Technology Program emphasizes the hands-on facets of the industry as well as drafting and management skills. The program prepares students for entry-level positions in occupations related to the design and construction of buildings. Students develop skills and technical knowledge that apply to field work and construction management practices; with these skills students are prepared for entry-level employment or job advancement within the industry.
Construction Technology Program Outcomes
- Integrate information from residential and commercial blueprints to solve building problems.
- Apply communications skills in an industry setting.
- Operate construction tools and equipment.
- Perform wood cutting and milling operations.
- Perform construction mathematics applications.
- Employ construction safety skills.
