Diesel Technology AAS

The Diesel Technology Program uses a hands-on approach to prepare students for a career in the Diesel industry.  Through courses in engines, electrical, hydraulics, drive trains, electronics, mobile air conditioning, and welding, students develop a safe work attitude and skills required to work on the most advanced diesel powered vehicles. The Diesel Technology Program upholds a high standard to provide quality instruction by involving our local advisory board to ensure that we are preparing students to be successful once they graduate.

Diesel Technology Program Outcomes:

  1. Perform diagnostic procedures used in the construction, mining, agricultural, and trucking industry to effectively troubleshoot and repair diesel powered vehicles.
  2. Communicate effectively with customers and shop personnel.
  3. Apply appropriate Diesel workplace skills.
  4. Perform safe working practices in the work place.
  5. Apply critical thinking skills for the mechanical field.
