CMAP* 1850 - Desktop Publishing I


The course is designed to provide students with a background and experience for producing high-quality publications through comprehensive layouts using one of the most prominent desktop publishing software available in the industry. The topics introduced will cover the basic features of Microsoft Publisher predominately through the use of templates. Through hands on activities, the student will produce newsletters, signs, letterheads, business cards, forms, flyers, and brochures. Content will include publishing design principles, including building design grids using layout guides.

Prerequisites/Corequisites
Prerequisites: Complete CMAP*1610-Windows I and CMAP*1700-Word Processing I or Instructor Consent.
