MSFT 1530 - Managing a Microsoft Windows Environment
This course provides students with the skills necessary to administer and manage Windows Server operating system. Additionally the course builds skills related to identity management functionality. This course covers all the necessary material to enable the student to take a Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Certification Exam.

MSFT 1520 Windows Server Networking with a C or better
Minimum Student Competencies
Upon completion of MSFT 1530 Managing a Microsoft Windows Environment, the student will:
- discuss the installation and configuration of Domain Name System (DNS)
- summarize the installation, configuration and maintenance of DHCP
- explain IP address management (IPAM)
- show network connectivity and remote access solutions
- describe core and distributed network solutions
- design advanced network infrastructure
- exhibit installation, configuration and maintenance of Active Directory Domain Services
- illustrate service authentication and account policies
- show group policy configuration options
- summarize Active Directory certificate services
- describe identity federation and access solutions
