MUSC 1240 - Tuba I This course offers weekly, 30- or 60-minute private lessons in tuba performance and techniques to students majoring in music. It is required for first-year music majors declaring tuba as their primary instrument. A maximum of 4 credit hours in MUSC 1240 Tuba I can be counted toward the Associates of Fine Arts degree in music.

Minimum Student Competencies Upon completion of MUSC 1240 Tuba I, the student will:
- demonstrate mastery of technique required for assigned repertoire studied.
- perform with accurate intonation, rhythm, and articulation.
- produce good tone quality.
- apply interpretation consistent with the stylistic performance practices associated with each piece studied and performed.
