MOLB 2210 - General Microbiology This course is an introduction to microorganisms, including bacteria, fungi, protists, and viruses. The course focuses on characterizing the cellular, physiological and molecular differences of these microorganisms. The relationship of microorganisms to each other, the environment, humans, and diseases are addressed. Laboratory techniques using aseptic technique to isolate and identify microorganisms are emphasized. This course is recommended for biology majors and students preparing for health-related fields. Minimum Credits: 4 Prerequisites: BIOL 1010 General Biology I and CHEM 1000 Introductory Chemistry or CHEM 1020 General Chemistry I, with a C or better, or instructor consent Grading: Letter
