PSYC 2230 - Sports and Exercise Psychology This course provides students with an introduction to the theoretical and applied aspects of the psychology of sport and exercise. Students explore both historical and contemporary developments in the field as well as examine human behavior within the context of sport, exercise, and physical activity. Topics for this course include leadership, coaching, group processes, techniques for performance enhancement, promoting wellness, psychopathology in sport, and contemporary issues in psychology. Minimum Credits: 3 Prerequisites: PSYC 1000 General Psychology with a C or better, or instructor consent Cross-listed: PEPR 2220 Sports and Exercise Psychology Grading: Letter
