ENGL 2006 - Literature of the Outdoors This course explores themes, patterns, literary conventions, and topics in works of American literature about the natural world. Students examine the human connection to the environment and nature, as well the motivations of environmental writers. Through reading, writing, and discussion, students gain insight into what has been written about nature and place, why it was written, and how the writings influence society. Minimum Credits: 3 Prerequisites: ENGL 1010 English Composition I with C or better, or instructor consent General Education Cultural Studies-Humanities Grading: Letter
