WELD 1860 - Welding Fabrication This follow-up course to blueprint reading requires students to design, sketch and fabricate a major welding project, using all the appropriate welding symbols and notations. The project will be fabricated from the sketch to a tolerance of +/- 1/8”. The institution provides materials for projects that it will keep, but students must purchase materials for projects for their own use.
Prerequisites: WELD 1650 - Printreading & Welding Symbols, WELD 1500 - Welding I
Co-requisites: WELD 1720 - Welding Shop
Credits: 3
Lecture/Lab Hours: 5 lecture/lab hrs/week
